First Work Trip Post-op

It’s 5:30am and I’m in a cab on the way to the airport for a 7:00am flight to Toronto. Tomorrow, we will be undertaking an office and data centre move and it will continue on through the weekend. This will be a pretty good test for my back!

I’ll post again when I know how it went.

  1. The trip has been a success! We’re completely operational at the new site after three 14-hour days. The team was awesome and I didn’t have to do any heavy lifting – but normal lifting worked well for me. The only issue I’ve seen from stressing my back thus far is actually in sitting. My tailbone seems to get a little sore if I sit for too long… it’s nothing too painful, just different than before. I think it might have to do with the restoration of my lordosis and everything just getting used to the angles/pressure back there. All in all, I’m happy with my outcome so far. Hockey still seems a long way out, but I do love bending over to play with my daughter again! She and I will be attending her first hockey game in December on my Birthday. It’s going to be awesome!
